This October I’m asked participate in a great initiative by an Argentinian friend of mine. She wrote a piece on the Arab-Israeli conflict while I was in the Occupied Territories and asked me about my views, opinion and stories. When she received a lot of enthusiastic comments on her work she decided that Argentina (and in particular Argentinian students) needed to know more about one of the longest running conflicts in history.
This October it’s going to happen, a conference -sponsored by the Argentinian government- in which young people from the Occupied Territories, Israeli, Argentina and the Netherlands (myself) will talk about the current situation, the history of the conflict, personal stories and possible solutions. Not only will this be an interesting event in terms of the academic and political relevance it has, it will be a great way for different people from different cultures to engage in intercultural exchange.
